Official Update on Alyssa Williams

She’s Still Missing would like to provide an official update regarding Alyssa Williams.

We were notified that approximately four days after her 18th birthday, Alyssa appeared at a Houston police station. She identified herself by name and confirmed that she was alive. At that time, she stated that she did not wish to have contact with her parents and simply wanted to report that she was no longer considered a runaway.

Due to the fact that the investigation remains open, we have been unable to obtain further details directly from law enforcement. However, through communication with her grandmother in Maine, we have been informed that Alyssa is not currently seeking financial, housing, or educational assistance.

Although we have not personally spoken with Alyssa, we are grateful for the confirmation that she is alive. Out of respect for her privacy and the ongoing investigation, we will not make statements regarding her current safety or wellbeing. What we can say is that this nonprofit was created in her honor, and should Alyssa ever wish to reach out in the future, She’s Still Missing stands ready to provide her with support—whether financial, educational, or housing assistance.

We will continue to remain in contact with the Houston Police Department regarding her case. Once the investigation is officially closed, we will provide another update on our website.

Until then, we wish Alyssa the very best on her journey forward. We are thankful for your continued prayers and support.
